Derek Kraus

 

Began racing career as a 7-year-old competing in the Wisconsin State Go Kart Series in 2008. From there he moved up to the Midwest Bandolero Series. He later transitioned to the Midwest Truck Series and eventually into a Super Late Model.

 

In 2015 he was the Midwest Truck Series champion. He also became the youngest driver in Wisconsin to win a Super Later Model race and a Super Truck Series race. Midwest Bandolero Series champion in both 2013 and 2014.

Accomplishments

 

  • Won Rookie of the Year Award in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in 2017

  • Scored first career win in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West as a rookie in 2017

  • In 2016, became youngest driver to win an ARCA Midwest Tour Series race

  • Named as one of seven drivers in the 2016 Ganassi Racing Gen G program

  • American Ethanol Super Truck Series Rookie of the Year in 2015

  • Super Late Model Rookie of the Year at State Park Speedway (Wausau, Wisconsin) in 2015
